The Missionary Journeys of Peter – Imperfect Apostle – November 16th 2025

We often link the spread of Christianity to the travels of Paul the Apostle. But Peter is actually mentioned more often in the New Testament and planted several churches. What does his work tell us about our mission today and his role as a father figure to the worldwide church.

Peter argues with God a fair bit. In this story from Acts 10 God tells him to set aside food purity laws and open up the gospel to people from other ethnicities. Peter argues with this but then responds to an invitation to the house of a Gentile centurion. This day changed world history.

Our Prayer day on the 30th May is one of our 3 prayer days in 2025. During your one hour slot you will have multiple prayer ideas around you in the Prayer room at the Gather Community Garden. You can also pray as you feel led. Information about your slot will be sent to you nearer the time but your slot will be confirmed if you sign up below. The Big Bridgemere Charity Quiz – Feb 6th 2026 7.30pm

You are invited to a ‘Quiz evening at the Bridgemere Centre – 7.30 to 9.15 pm on 6th February 2026.  This will be a great opportunity to get together for an evening’s entertainment.  The quiz will involve teams of up to six – but no need to organise a team ahead of the evening unless you want to.  (More than 6? You can have more than one team.) There will be a prize for the highest scoring team and for the runner-up, but the emphasis is mostly on having an enjoyable evening! (Children who will be ‘in the team’ are welcome but there will be no other provision for them at this event.)

We are asking for a minimum suggested donation of £5 per person.

There are only 60 places available for this event and it has to be first come first served, so if you’re interested do book your place as soon as possible.
